Nancy Bishop has more than 30 years of experience in marketing, creative services, brand development and visual identity, public relations and product publicity. She has intensive industry experience in professional services, consumer products and higher education. She retired in January 2012 and now devotes her time to writing (see her blog https://nancybishopsjournal.com/) and volunteering for SCORE. She is editor and publisher of Third Coast Review (thirdcoastreview.com), a Chicago arts and culture website, as well as a theater and art critic. She formerly was arts and culture editor and theater critic for Gapers Block, a now defunct Chicago-centric website.
Nancy spent five years managing a creative services group at Mayer Brown LLP, a large global law firm. Before that she spent 20+ years at A.T. Kearney, a global management consulting firm, where she held various positions in public relations, marketing and creative services. She was director of thought leadership marketing, including managing the commercial publication of books on management and leadership, written by management consultants. As an executive speechwriter, she wrote speeches and articles dealing with corporate leadership topics. She held previous jobs in public relations at KFC (formerly Kentucky Fried Chicken), Montgomery Ward and three public universities.
Nancy's mentoring location is the LGBT Chamber of Commerce in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago.
