Spent the better part of the 1980's in a financial institution in their IT department, operating as a manager for the computer programmers. In the early 80's I worked as technical consultant to Sales personnel out in the field going on client calls and then eventually managing my own group of consultants that provided technical assistance to outside clients on an as needed basis.
Eventually my work took me into the Sales environment, when I became an account manager for a company that produced huge sales meeting at company events.
I returned to the world of technical involvement and used my overall experience to assist a company in developing training programs, creating a travel department and managing their research areas.
Currently, I am working part to full time as a Business Manager and Partner to two artists in the Asheville River Arts District, redefining their business objectives, helping with sales and marketing, and providing business advice to them as needed. Also working with two artists on an as needed basis, to assist them in their business questions and direction.
I am also involved with AB TECH, in their spring and fall classes, geared toward the Artist as a Business Owner, teaching a Sales class.
