I went to work for W.M. Lyles Co., a pipeline and underground utility contractor in 1973 as a civil engineer in training in their Visalia office. Over the years, the organization has grown to include 5 companies and is called the Lyles Construction Group. I progressed through the ranks and served as Division Manager, District Manager, Vice President, and President of W.M Lyles Co., the largest of the 5 companies. Our group does all kinds of infrastructure construction, specializing in sewage and water treatment plants, paving and grading, mechanical, and underground utilities. We have offices in Temecula, Bakersfield, Visalia, Fresno, and Sacramento. We are one of the largest contractors in California and have been in business since 1945. I retired in 2013 after 40 years with the organization, and in retirement still consult with them and hold the title of Chairman of the Board.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois. I was a James Scholar and in Chi Epsilon, the national Civil Engineering Scholastic Honorary Fraternity.
