Matt has worked within the Consumer Electronics and Insurance arenas for over 40 years.  He held various increasing responsibility jobs throughout the industry; from distribution, retail, and consumer electronics titans such as Panasonic and Sony to insurance titan American International Group.  His expertise started in sales and marketing with expertise in account management, but then grew to overall business management. 

He retired at the end of 2013 as Vice President with Asurion, the largest cell phone warranty company in the world.  He did special projects for the CEO; one of which was to insure continuity in their international businesses where he negotiated contracts to insure their business in Turkey, China, and Japan.

Prior to Asurion, he worked for American International Group, then the 9th largest corporation in the world, as the division president for the Warranty Division.  He took on that role and helped Best Buy go from a fledgling retailer on the brink of financial ruin, to the largest consumer electronics retailer in the US.  During his 14 year journey at AIG, he was promoted from VP, through the ranks of SVP to division president, a position he held for almost 10 years.  During that time, he increased revenue by over 450% and owned almost 50% of the consumer electronics underwriting in North America for Extended Service Contracts.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Marketing from Sacred Heart University.
