My mission is to help people to “see” … to see the wisdom of following some paths and the futility of following others. To see the power of tapping into one’s potential to create value in the world – and isn’t that exactly what small businesses and start-ups aim to do? I bring to my mission, and to my work with SCORE, 30-plus years of experience developing brand strategies for more than 300 companies, both large and modest in size; global as well as local. My work influences nearly all aspects of a business, from strategy and marketing, to HR, sales and customer service. I’ve worked in numerous industries, with a strong focus on manufacturing/engineering, health care, financial services, and consumer durables. What I’ve discovered is that brand challenges are largely the same, no matter what business you’re in, whether for-profit or not-for-profit. What is different is how you bring that brand to life, so it reinforces the value your business creates in ways that are distinctive, authentic and lasting.
I received my BA in English (minor in economics) from Carnegie-Mellon University and my MS in Communications and Industrial Management from Boston University. I am also a certified coach (International Coach Federation).
