Ken Rone served as Vice President - Corporate Maintenance at Ash Grove Cement Company, the nation's largest American owned cement manufacturer. Ken retired from Ash Grove after a 31 year career in 2010. Ken provided oversight and coordination of maintenance reliability initiatives at nine cement plants and one lime plant. Ash Grove underwent a ground-up re-organization of plant activities with the objective of embedding World Class maintenance practices from the plant floor to the executive offices under his leadership. Ken was relied on to impart his expertise to capital procurement, import/export, union and non-union employee relations, marine transportation, HR, employee development, regulatory compliance, succession planning, operational reliability, corporate objectives, goals, strategies and tactics, and corporate energy sustainability. In January 2011, Ken founded Refra.reSources, LLC. Refra.reSources is a technology and software development firm specializing in high-temperature process industries and offering them consulting support as well as to the manufacturing reliability community.
