I can advise businesses in federal government contracting issues, particularly issues companies encounter after they have been awarded a government contract. I can help companies to understand the clauses and requirements in their contracts, especially in the areas of quality assurance and contract payment. I can also help companies with strategic planning and operational management questions.
I worked for the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), the federal agency that administers Defense Department contracts after they are awarded, primarily working with manufacturing contractors. DCMA deals with contractors of all sizes, including small businesses. While working for DCMA, I served as a supervisor, a mid-level manager, and a member of DCMA Headquarters policy staff. In my supervisory and management assignments, I gained experience with strategic planning, budgeting, personnel management, and other management responsibilities.
I have also served as a volunteer leader with the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and as a Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award Examiner for The Partnership for Excellence, a regional Baldrige organization covering Ohio, West Virginia, and Indiana.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Fairmont State University, Fairmont, WV. I have also completed some evening MBA courses at the University of Toledo while working full-time.
