From 2006 to 2015, was CIO /CTO at the Colombian Securities Exchange and led IT strategy and transformational change by navigating the company to move to a leading edge IT architecture to enable agile product innovations for superior business performance and assure business continuity amidst various types of risks & cyber threats. Oversaw the planning and execution of corporate strategic projects and implemented governance operating model to manage IT risks. Leveraged previous consulting experience to guide re-engineering of old business / IT processes(ITIL/COBIT) and align them with the emerging demands within fast changing capital markets industry. This enabled the company to diversify its product portfolio and revenue streams while setting in motion the culture of innovation across the company. Along with various IT enabled product / service innovations and business partnerships, led the acquisition of a key IT system integrator that enabled the stock exchange to transform into an IT service provider for existing clients while achieving topline growth of over 35% in 2015.
Between 2005 to 2006, led consulting services of HP Colombia and telecom vertical practice across Latin America. Between 2001 – 2005, as client partner/country managing director of Cambridge Technology Partners, positioned the firm as one of the leading IT consulting firms in Colombia. From 1998 to 2001 as senior manager at Arthur Andersen business consulting division, advised CEOs of medium size corporations on how to achieve top line growth and improve operational efficiencies.
In mid 2015, stepped down from the CIO role at the Colombian Stock Exchange and moved to the United States in order for his wife to pursue her promising leadership path within a multinational corporation.
Since October of 2015, involved as an active volunteer at Score’s Chester and Delaware chapter in order to give back to the community by providing free mentoring and coaching to the entrepreneurs /startups. Currently co-chair of the committee of counseling services that is responsible for managing counseling operations.
Graduated with a degree in Economics and Computer Science and an MBA from the University of Warwick Business School. Sponsored to attend the coveted senior leadership Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2012. Also attended various short term management and IT executive courses at both Harvard and MIT.
