My entire banking career was spent helping small to mid-sized businesses grow and reach established goals for eventual sale or hand off to company employees or family. Services offered
covered virtually every segment of commercial banking, cash management services, lines of credit, term loans, letters of credit, etc. Some of the industries served were manufacturing, distribution, construction contractors and sub-contractors, medical/health care, aerospace, sports, education, etc. This multifaceted background contributed to many long-term relationships where a mutual trust was the center piece of the relationship. Straightforward communication is critical to develop trust on both sides of the table. It was always very inspiring to visit clients place of business to glean knowledge and awareness not received in an in-office setting. This effort also excites clients to show off their successes and hard work. Effective long term client relationships depend on a two-way exchange of information with the management team and their respective CPAs, attorneys, insurance professionals and other strategic partners. Along the way, my strategy was to always provide clients alternatives/options in their financial/banking decisions. Goal setting and action plans, with accountability, serve to keep the focus in a positive direction.
Upon retirement, and after some travel, I joined a founding BOD of a new bank in Avondale, AZ. I joined SCORE 3+ years ago and love giving back and providing all the FREE services we offer. I love what I do!
