Expert in Information Technology. Experience included systems planning, organizational planning, systems development, project management, systems support, and cost containment. IT leader who completed many successful projects. A leader who inspired IT teams to work to their greatest potential. Over thirty-nine years as a professional manger/director with extensive experience in Information Technology. From 1989 until 2001, served as Director, Information Technology, and was responsible for the business systems of the Chemical and Engineered Products business units of Goodyear. These two businesses accounted for two billion dollars in annual sales. Accomplishments included installing SAP R3 system to replace many aging mainframe applications. Staff was about 60 direct associates and over 50 indirect, and at times up to 50 consultants. System was installed in over 40 locations in US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Spoke at various SAP symposiums about the project. Retired from The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in January, 2001. Served as a mentor for students in Kent State’s MBA program. From 2001 to present, volunteer as SCORE counselor providing help with business plans, startup steps, and IT issues. Participate in Business Basics and Resume Writing workshops.
