I recently retired as the Controller of CA Technologies, a $4.5 B multinational business software company. As Controller I was responsible for the Financial Planning and Analysis, Accounting, Treasury, and Business Unit Finance functions. I was also responsible for the coordination between these corporate staffs and the Tax and M&A functions. Prior to being named Controller, I was the Treasurer for CA and instrumental in restoring the company to investment grade.
I also was Assistant Treasurer at the old AT&T and IBM and was a principal in the financial restructuring of both companies. My career at IBM spanned twenty years across the areas of economics, IBM’s Global Finance and leasing business, and Treasury. In addition to being Assistant Treasurer, I was the Managing Director of IBM’s International Treasury Service Center in Dublin Ireland.
I started my career at the Federal Reserve Bank of NY, have also worked at Lexecon, the economic antitrust consulting form, and have worked as an independent consultant.
I still teach in New York University's graduate program in economics.
