How I can help you
After my first career was as a professional musician (about 10 years), my high school interest in Physics led me to return for my BA in Physics from the University of South Carolina.
After graduation, I worked several years for the SC Department of Labor as an OSHA Compliance Officer in the field of industrial hygiene where I conducted weekly health inspections in many different industries. In addition to all that I saw of industry in SC, I learned a lot about how businesses can respond efficiently and effectively to federal regulations
I later accepted an offer from Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 1984 for a position in Information systems research. The primary focus of my research there was in how to improve the outcomes of computer system development projects. This later led to consulting for various governmental agencies and then eventually consulting for small business clients in database and database application development. These consulting jobs were for ORNL, Radian Corporation, URS Corporation and then later on my own.
Just before retiring in 2013, I started a more general small business consulting practice. Then, after retirement, having observed the accelerated growth and value of internet technologies, I committed to learning all I could about internet marketing, including e-commerce, affiliate marketing, e-mail marketing and lead generation.
I’m now growing a business in Life Coaching for retirement, stress management and small business.
