Upon his discharge from the military service, Jack was recruited by IBM Corporation for their Executive Training Program after which he served as Executive Assistant to top management Seeing a better opportunity and the possibility of learning more with Scripto, Inc, which ranked as one of the best managed corporations at the time, Jack joined the management group and soon transferred to a junior marketing position in Scripto’s international division where he learned global operations from the ground up, and was promoted to Assistant Export Director. One of the leaders in the field of work and western apparel and Jeans, the LEE Company, selected Jack to take charge of their small international business. In less than 10 years, Jack Peltier and a dedicated staff took the business from a low six figure sales volume to revenues over $25 million and record profits. The LEE Company was nationally recognized with two Presidential Awards for Excellence in Exports. Jack Peltier was promoted to Vice-President. When the VF Corporation, today America’s largest apparel company, purchased LEE, the management of VF global business was turned over to Jack along with a corporate vice presidency. He earned a further promotion to President of VF International and completed his 25 years of corporate life at the head of a very profitable global business with revenues in the low nine figures. After he left the corporate world, Jack Peltier started his own small business, a consulting company specializing in the structuring of worldwide operations for U.S. and overseas corporations Jack Peltier brings to SCORE a varied experience in starting and managing small and large businesses. His passions are startups and the tasks involved in helping an ailing business get back to profitability.
