How I can help you
I have a passion for mentoring others. Throughout my career (in banking and finance) I relied on mentors to help me at every stage and that experience motivated me to be a mentor to others. At General Electric, all of us in the executive band were expected to mentor others in our business or function as a critical part of our job. This always felt like a reward to me and not an obligation. In addition to being a SCORE Mentor, I’ve developed and I present “Beyond The Bench”, a career mentoring program for NCAA Division I student-athletes.
Since joining SCORE in 2012, I have learned that nurturing people through all stages of creating, growing or fixing their business allows me to learn far more than I ever imagined I could which, in turn, helps me to serve new clients. Also, much of my career in banking was spent in the area of financial restructuring, distressed investments and board service, and this experience required me to think more as if I were a business owner.
