Jerry has been a SCORE member since retiring from Boeing in 1991 and has extensive experience in counseling small businesses. This includes counseling both those interested in starting their own company as well as those already in business. Jerry has counseled over 1000 small business managers and owners. His focus is working with clients over the long term, becoming a partner with them in their business. In addition, he was Chairman of the Seattle SCORE Chapter for two years during which time the chapter won national awards. Jerry continues to counsel and is also coordinator for the Building a Business Plan workshop. He has over 33 years of industry experince with the Boeing Company both in management and engineering. At retirement he was project Chief Engineer. He has managed new business projects in the engineering, planning, and overall management areas. In these project assignments, Jerry took them from the conceptual stage, through development and then to completion in final production. During this experience he spent significant time in long range planning. Jerry has been evaluating the management and finances of businesses from an investment standpoint for over 40 years.  Jerry served in the U. S. Navy from 1950 to 1953.

Education

Jerry's education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Seattle University, and a Master's Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from Seattle University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer (Retired) in the State of Washington. Retired from Boeing
