Harold Rappoport is a seasoned professional who is uniquely comfortable in both business and technical development. He was President of Rappoport Consultants pursuing the development of Internet and logistics applications. He conceived of and oversaw the development and marketing of Easy Router, one of the first Application Service Providers (ASP) for Internet based vehicle routing. Prior to that, he was Director of Business Development for RouteSmart, a GIS based routing and scheduling system. In this capacity, he initiated strategic alliances for third party sales and created foreign sales arrangements. He has been on the steering committee for the Business Geographics Conference and contributed articles to popular geographic publications. Dr. Rappoport has a Doctorate in Operations Research and has taught graduate level Operations Research courses at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. Two of his articles were 1990 and 1991 Koopman Prize (best military operations research paper) finalists. He supported the US Post Office in the analysis of a dynamic queuing process.
