Customer Insights Experience:  As Customer Insights Executive, manage a team of six analysts.  Work with various lines of business to develop new methods of identifying and marketing to prospects.  Develop sales leads for small business and mass affluent consumers using life event, demographic and transaction data as well as statistical modeling.   Develop resource allocation methodology for assigning small business specialists to branch bank locations.  Analyze and measure impact of channel migration on customer relationships.

Small Business Analysis Experience:  As Manager of Small Business Analytics and Research, manage a team of seven analysts. Work with Strategic Planning, Product Managers and Market Managers to improve our knowledge of the market and customer needs.  Size the small business market and its sub-segments. Determine market opportunity, market and product penetration and drivers of consideration and choice.  Develop financial, demographic and psychographic profiles of sub-segments. Identify and assess potential of affinity groups.  Determine impact on sales of various marketing and promotional efforts.  Develop processes to identify small business prospects in our databases.

Consumer Product Analysis Experience:  Appointed Manager of Retail Credit Product Analysis after merger with Barnett Banks. Analysis of Transaction Products added to responsibilities in 1999.  Supervise a team of eight analysts. Work with Product and Segment Managers to distill information from various primary and secondary sources into written analyses, providing conclusions and recommendations. 

 

BARNETT BANK, Jacksonville, FL.  (1996 to 1998)

Product Analysis Experience:  As Manager of Product Analysis, develop a team of seven analysts to support retail deposit and credit products, packaged products, insurance products and asset management products.   Compile information from data warehouses, primary and secondary research, focus groups and other sources. 

 

FIRSTAR BANK, Milwaukee, WI.  (1980 to 1996)

Investments Experience  (1990 to 1996):  Sell fixed income securities to correspondent banks.  As Sales Manager, manage a sales staff of twelve located in three states.  Act as Agency Securities Trader on interim basis.

Branch Bank/Small Business Experience  (1988 to 1990):  Assistant Branch Manager.  Manage portfolio of over 200 small business customers.  Analyze business customer credit worthiness and credit facility structuring.  Assist retail customers with financial relationships.

Treasury (Asset/Liability) Experience  (1986 to 1988):  Manage the bank’s transfer pricing and matched funding systems.  Advise lenders on loan structuring.  Manage the bank’s short-term liabilities through pricing of bank investment obligations and the purchase and sale of Fed Funds.  Hedge the bank’s rate risk using interest rate swaps and other derivatives.

Market Research Experience  (1980 to 1986):  Evaluate, schedule and execute research and other marketing projects.  Evaluate the affluent market and the bank’s organizational structure for serving it.  Perform site location studies in three states.  Evaluate advertising, direct mail and other promotional efforts.  As Director of Market Research, develop annual department plans and budgets, and manage a staff of six analysts.

FINANCIAL SERVICES VOLUNTEER CORP.   (2006 to Present)Conduct training seminars on strategic planning, marketing, new product development and competitive intelligence for bankers in Jordan, Tunisia and Egypt.   Develop training materials and conduct "train-the-trainer" seminars on strategic planning and marketing fro the SME certification program for the Egyptian Banking Institute.  Provide product education and personal selling seminars to personnel from the Egyptian Postal Service. Conduct seminars on export planning for entrepreneurial organizations in Egypt.
