I challenge SCORE clients to be “brilliant with the basics”. I have spent the past 25+ years learning what it means to work in and start a business. From theory to practice, the biggest thing I have learned is to keep it basic and do it better than anyone else.

After graduating from the University at Buffalo with my BS in Business, I started working for a fortune 100 Global IT distributor. Over the next 14 years, I learned and honed my skills for:
* Effectively sell and build relationships over the phone
* Capital equipment sales
* Relationship-based selling
* Identifying and hiring talent
* Training and onboarding
* Managing and retaining top talent
* Compensation plans for sales

My next job was for a privately held global company in the Medical Device field. Over the next 14 years, I learned and honed my skills:
* Developing an inside sales department to support 10,000 nationwide customers
* Managed nationwide equipment repair
* Developed and deployed tools to increase sales productivity
* Managed the adoption and use of multiple CRM platforms
* Hired a trainer to improve onboarding and continuous improvement.
* Became Lean certified from the University of Kentucky
* Rolled out and trained over 150 salespeople globally to increase sales productivity through the application of * lean manufacturing principles.
* Coached regional and executive management on driving performance

In addition, for a short time, I ran a franchise painting company. By doing that, I learned
