As a former construction cost consultant and economist, I can help you plan or fine-tune your start-up or ongoing enterprise with hands-on operations and marketing/business development experience in a professional services environment. I was Managing Principal and co-founder of an international top-10 Construction-Manager-For-Fee. I have more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry. I have successfully worked with owners and institutions to control project and program outcomes for projects across the U.S and internationally. With a passion for problem-solving and a keen ability to remain focused on the big picture, I effectively served as an advocate for our clients and ensured our tools provided the answers needed to make informed decisions. As a cost expert and economist, I tracked construction costs internationally and published a quarterly newsletter on the construction economy. Internally, I managed the companys construction cost database, marketing and business development nationally. Externally (client-facing), I led all aspects of the estimating process, market analysis, peer review, and cost management, as well as all areas of construction management including construction loan monitoring, claims evaluation, and expert witness testimony. In addition, I was a feature speaker giving economic forecasts to large companies, organizations, and public institutions. I have been involved in two successful start-ups and have opened three regional expansions.
