As a program manager and coordinator, I have built and supervised an effective team to serve a business mission, vision, and values. I have experience utilizing instructional design to create and implement training programs that improve employee's skills and knowledge within their organization. I have experience developing policies and procedures (human resources) and management practices that balance finance and human resource management. My approach uplifts differences, conflicts, and unique perspectives to arrive at better working solutions. My management experience ranges through the industries of non-profit and retail.
In addition to my professional activities, I am a volunteer coordinator for a non-profit that provides services and support to underserved areas in Haiti through mission trips. The role includes supervising the volunteer management office by conducting meetings, delegating responsibilities, and evaluating performance. I identify staffing needs, create job descriptions, and help develop strategic growth plans. I oversee the volunteer recruiting process and oversee the design and administration of the volunteer appreciation and recognition program. Additionally, I serve as the organization's primary consultant on volunteer management and human resource issues. I supervise a virtual and global team (team members are in Hawaii, mainland USA, Germany, and Italy).
