About the event

One of the biggest expenses for a business – often overlooked – is the cost to replace employees who quit. You have to find someone to fill in for the departed employee, take time to recruit, take time to interview, take time to train and finally get the new employee ready to work.

Some departures can’t be helped. But some can and that’s the point of this webinar. You’ll leave with worthwhile and usable tips on how to create a culture that will keep employees happy and productive.

PRESENTER: John Daniel is CEO of Bluff City Athletics and a 47-year veteran of the banking industry, serving most recently on the executive management committee of First Horizon until his retirement in 2021. John serves on a number of local boards including River City Capital, Seeding Success, First 8, Center for Transforming Communities and the United Way of the Mid-South. John is a recognized thought leader in the community and speaks frequently on culture and leadership. In 2022, John was appointed to a one-year term as a Fellow at Harvard University studying social entrepreneurship. Bluff City Pickleball is a product of his studies. He is the author of Ancestral Mindset: Adopting an Evolutionary Framework to Lead, Influence and Collaborate, released in 2025.
