What do you do?

Early Intervention Village provides resources for parents of children aged 0-3 years and The Best Toy Chest, an online store featuring products that help children with developmental skills.

Owner, Francine Cazeau, a teacher for an early intervention program with 15 years in the field was inspired to start her business after watching the documentary; Willowbrook: The Last Great Disgrace which reported on an institutional failure to special needs children. Everyone should have a voice and opportunities to reach their full potential regardless of their ability”.

How SCORE helped.

Looking to improve her business in the Spring of 2022, Francine did an on-line search for business help.  From there she discovered SCORE Los Angeles and received on-going support from her SCORE mentor, Katrinka Duckworth. “It has been an amazing experience to find someone to discuss ideas with who is patient, understanding and knowledgeable. I have learned different techniques to market my business from Katrinka who helped me improve my website and launch my first live pop-up event.”

Francine was honored at the annual SCORE Los Angeles Success Luncheon for 2022.  There she presented the Baby Milestone Calendar that is one of the products sold on her website: earlyinterventionvillage.com.  According to Francine, “Being my own boss is a beautiful challenge. It's like a child… you love it and take care of it, give it what it needs to grow and in the end, it will take care of you!”
