Meet new SCORE mentor Jim Brener. Jim is a native Lancastrian who began his career in Wholesale Industrial Paper Distribution with a degree from Western Michigan University, with majors in Paper Technology and Business and minors in Chemistry and General Social Sciences. He put that degree to work in a wholesale paper, plastic and janitorial products distribution business. His products were sold to clients for use in their business, including food packaging and preparation, and food service equipment and supplies; janitorial products, including cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies; and retail packaging, including custom printed packaging and supplies. During his 50-year career in paper distribution, Jim’s clients included local, state and federal government agencies, military and educational institutions.

Jim is now retired as Account Manager for Acme Paper and Supply Company of Savage, Maryland and settled back home in Lancaster.

“Away for 25 years, I returned to Lancaster and read several news articles written by SCORE Lancaster-Lebanon mentors.  I was acquainted with a member who encouraged me to apply to be a mentor.  I have been involved in many organizations and SCORE stands out where everyone I have met is enthusiastically dedicated to the mission of SCORE Chapter 16. I look forward to helping others be successful.”
