I am a retired owner/operator of a roofing company, a sheet metal fabrication company, and a commercial property rental company on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I am also the chair of a non-profit, historic operational cemetery and tourist attraction. In addition to SCORE, I am a volunteer with several organizations that provide support to businesses in my area. These include Salisbury University’s Small Business Development Center, the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce legislative committee, and the department of Labor’s Lower Workforce Alliance.

1. 30 years as a Electronics Engineer in the aerospace industry, Broadcast Engineer and Teacher in University and Comunity College Education and Service Engineer / manager for SONY Corp USA.
2. 30 years as the owner of Visual Communications Systems, LLC working as a design build consultant engineer for over 500 projects. I combined all past experiences to work help clients get there message out with the most current technology.

After my first career was as a professional musician (about 10 years), my high school interest in Physics led me to return for my BA in Physics from the University of South Carolina. After graduation, I worked several years for the SC Department of Labor as an OSHA Compliance Officer in the field of industrial hygiene where I conducted weekly health inspections in many different industries. In addition to all that I saw of industry in SC, I learned a lot about how businesses can respond efficiently and effectively to federal regulations.
