As a former retail executive, Steve has spent over 35 years in the retail industry. After graduating with a BS in accounting from Indiana University, he spent several years as a CPA with Coopers Lybrand, then started his retail career in 1979. The last 26 years of his retail career was spent at the Finish Line, Inc, a leading athletic footwear and apparel retailer based in Indianapolis. Initially as the Companys CFO, Steve took Finish Line public via an IPO in 1992 and was also responsible for three additional secondary public offerings. His positions included CFO, COO and eventually to President COO before retiring in 2015. During his tenure, the Finish Line grew from a private company with 65 stores in 1989 (start date) to over 1,100 stores and shops by 2015.
