My successes.

The biggest success is the confidence we’ve gained. We now have a clear vision for the future, and every milestone feels like a shared victory for our family. SCORE didn’t just help us build a business; they helped us build a dream.

What do you do?

Serezin Flow LLC is a small, family-run business specializing in handmade crochet accessories, lanyards, and jewelry. Our focus is on creating unique, high-quality pieces that stand out. Each item is crafted with care, and because everything is handmade, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. It's more than just a business; it's a creative collaboration with my two daughters, who are young adults. We all have equal roles in the business—it's not about them working for me but working together. This way, we each bring our own creativity and strengths to the table.

What inspired you to start your business?

I've been creating art for as long as I can remember. My daughters and I always loved crafting, and it was something that brought us closer together. Turning that passion into a business felt like a natural step. We officially launched Serezin Flow in November 2023, and celebrating our one-year anniversary recently felt like such a milestone. Our inspiration comes from wanting to share our creativity with the world and build something meaningful as a family. It’s about leaving a legacy and showing my daughters that you can turn your passions into a livelihood.

What's special about your business?

Our business is special because every item we create tells a story. We don't mass-produce anything; each crochet accessory, lanyard, or piece of jewelry is one of a kind. For example, our lanyards are designed specifically for professionals who need to wear IDs but want to add a bit of elegance and personality to their daily routine. We pay attention to the little details, and our customers appreciate that personal touch. It's not just about the products, though—it's about the connection we create with our customers and the love we pour into each piece. That personal connection is what truly sets us apart.

What is your relationship with SCORE? SCORE client What influenced you to seek help from SCORE?

I knew that starting a business wasn’t just about having a great product; it was also about understanding how to run and grow that business effectively. We had creativity, but I wanted guidance on the practical aspects of entrepreneurship. I had heard about SCORE and their reputation for helping small businesses succeed. Their network of experienced mentors seemed like exactly the kind of support we needed to take Service and Flow to the next level.

How SCORE helped.

SCORE helped in so many ways. One of the most important things they guided us through was developing a comprehensive business plan. We had ideas but putting them into a structured plan helped us see the bigger picture. Our mentor walked us through each section—defining our mission, identifying our target audience, setting financial goals, and creating marketing strategies. Having a solid business plan gave us a roadmap to follow and made it easier to stay focused and organized. Beyond that, Marge helped us improve our customer outreach, refine our product offerings, and better manage our finances. Her support made us more confident as business owners and gave us the tools to grow.

What's great about my mentor?

The mentors at SCORE are amazing because they bring real-world experience to the table. They’re not just giving theoretical advice—they've been through the ups and downs of running businesses themselves. Our mentor – Marge Everett - was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in our success. It felt like having a partner who cared about our journey and wanted to see us thrive. She took the time to understand our business, our family dynamic, and our goals, tailoring her advice to fit our unique situation.
