Working full time, raising a family and going to college at the University of Baltimore, Robin Holmes was successful at juggling her responsibilities. But the dream of starting her own business was fueled by her determination to be financially independent and inspired by her hard-working mother (a dedicated nursing home cook who died in 2013). Purchasing a food truck with her own money, Robin started Deddle's Donuts to sell her "hot and fresh" mini donuts in 2016. Named after her mother, Deddle's Donuts serves a lunch menu from the truck and specialty donuts at festivals.
