WHAT I DO: I consult with small business owners and department managers to help make critical decisions about their employees. HOW I DO IT: Starting with an initial casual conversation, Ill get a profile of your current staff and what your aspirations and goals are with them. Using tools and assessment forms, well develop a logical plan to put the right employees in the right positions. This plan could involve recruiting new talent, re-positioning existing employees or weeding out your under-performing ones. I place a large emphasis on staff development and improving staff communication. WHY IT MATTERS: Managing employees is a difficult task. Ive done it for almost 40 years. I am a firm believer that owners and department managers spend their time focusing on the wrong areas. With a diligent and persistent approach to making sure you have the right employees doing the right jobs, you can create an efficient customer-focused machine.
