Fort Worth Clothing Collective was established in 2022 by Haley Ballenger and Kelly Warner. They launched their organization with a clear vision but little experience in corporate operations. In spite of that they managed to hold successful pop-up events to distribute clothing before coming to SCORE. While Haley’s initial request said “Brand new non-profit start-up. I need help with ... everything!” they really didn’t. SCORE mentors assisted them with budgeting and marketing early on. They then went on to partner with numerous organizations for pop-up events and recently opened a permanent location at the Westside Presbyterian Church.
FWCC collects and distributes clothing at no cost to those in need. They initially focused on children’s clothing and have since expanded to distribute adult and adolescent apparel as well as shoes and accessories. Since opening they have distributed over 10,000 pounds of clothing to people in need. Much of that clothing would have ended up in our land fill had they not recycled it.
They have been recognized for their efforts by television, print and on-line news organizations. Most recently, they were awarded the Heart of Fort Worth Award by the Fort Worth Entrepreneurship Center.
