Cleveland SCORE & The Presidents’ Council Form Partnership to Support Minority-Owned Small Businesses

CLEVELAND, Ohio, April 5, 2023 - Recognizing the critical need to support minority entrepreneurs in Northeast Ohio, Cleveland SCORE has partnered with The Presidents’ Council to assist with free mentoring, workshops, and educational services designed to help current and future generations of African American small businesses be even more successful within the Northeastern Ohio communities in which the Council serves.

Small Businesses Thrive with Support from SCORE Volunteer Corps

WASHINGTON, April 5, 2023 – The American small business community received 4.65 million hours of free, confidential, expert advice last year from volunteers with SCORE, mentors to America’s small businesses and a nonprofit resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration. This National Volunteer Month, SCORE is celebrating its dedicated corps of 10,000+ diverse volunteers serving entrepreneurs in all 50 U.S. states and territories, and their indelible impact locally and to the national economy. 

In 2022 alone, SCORE volunteers:

Strong Credit is Crucial For Small Business Owners Seeking Funding

WASHINGTON, March 15, 2023 – Two-thirds of small business owners say they could benefit from outside financing, yet many of them either do not apply or do not qualify, according to SCORE, mentors to America’s small businesses and a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration.
