This New Business is Sweet as Sugar

While working with SCORE Southern Maryland, I achieved several notable successes. Prior to signing a contract with Sugaring NYC, I conducted thorough research on various franchise opportunities within the beauty industry. When faced with the setback of a lease falling through, I persevered and secured a prime (and better) location for my franchise business, ensuring my business’ future success and visibility. The culmination of these efforts was marked by the successful execution of the initial soft Grand Opening in August of 2023.

After graduating from Cosmetology school and working in the beauty industry for 4 years, a couple of years in another children's hair salon, I wanted to open my own salon. I took a child psychology course to better grasp how kids think and why they act the way they do. This helped me build my business model. I started planning everything in the middle of the pandemic during the shutdown. I needed all the usual start-up help such as; finding a location well away from the salon I was working at, negotiating a favorable lease, having the space prepared for my children's hair salon business
