The inspiration to start Magic Tooth Bus was sparked by a passion to make a difference in the lives of low-income families. Our organization is formed by three women, two of whom are mothers and we all have immigrant-related backgrounds. We found each other through working in a community health dental clinic where we served the homeless and low-income population of San Francisco. We also participated in screenings and applying Fluoride to children attending schools with the highest rates of untreated tooth decay.
