I am a 30 year veteran in corporate retailing and I am the founder of my own small retail business run profitably for 5 years before selling it. A great deal of my practical knowledge stems from these work experiences as well as working with over 2000 clients as a SCORE mentor over the last two decades.

As an officer and an 11 year member of my local chamber of commerce I have worked on numerous projects including the development and implementation of their marketing plan. As a 47 year member of my home owners association and club facilities and 10 year member of our budget and finance committee I have helped shape their $8 million budget. As an occasional member of Town appointed committees I have helped shape the local economic development strategies many of which the town now employs. In the past I have served as a Director of a local ballet company. Occasionally I am called upon to listen to and advise the young members of my college fraternity and to speak to an occasional high school usually on business planning.

My retail experience includes buying, buying management, single and multi-store management and the management of the sales promotion, display and special events division of a major department store.

I have worked with the following merchandise categories: costume jewelry, handbags, stationery, children’s wear, junior sportswear, ladies lingerie and menswear.

I have some knowledge with respect to search engine optimization (SEO), title tags, description tags and search engine listings. Somewhat savvy about the use of Facebook (I operate my SCORE Chapter page, as well as share the operation of my local Chamber of Commerce page), as well as Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and Linkedin.
