Since childhood, my entrepreneurial drive has been a defining aspect of who I am. My experiences working in multinational corporations provided invaluable insights into business operations. Taking the helm of my family's international business offered a hands-on education in the intricacies of running a business. Finally, I embarked on the journey of founding Zamorins, alongside my son and daughter as valued business partners.
Our product, ParkZapp, is dedicated to inspecting parks and playgrounds to ensure children's safety. This mission is deeply personal to me; when my son was young, he was injured in a playground accident due to unsafe equipment, resulting in a night spent in the emergency room. Motivated by this experience, when the opportunity arose to develop software through NRPA, we seized it, creating ParkZapp to promote community safety.
Today, ParkZapp operates in 28 states, safeguarding countless children and families. In addition to our focus on playground safety, we also offer a range of other software services.
Over the past 8 years, I've actively participated in numerous workshops and training sessions hosted by SCORE. Additionally, my SCORE mentor has been instrumental in conducting interviews in the hiring process of the right resources for my business needs. They assisted in setting up QuickBooks for financial tracking and recommended other SCORE mentors tailored to specific requirements.
Whenever I required assistance, my SCORE mentor was readily available. Over the years, I've cultivated a strong and positive relationship with my SCORE mentor.
