Claude Council, PhD leads the Information Security Program for a medium sized international healthcare system. He has worked in several roles related to information technology since 1993 for organizations such as Yuma Regional Medical Center, BellSouth, Louisiana Community and Technical College System, Target Corporation, and eBay. He also serves on the Health Sector Coordinating Council Joint Cyber Working Group, the Provider Third Party Risk Management Council and the ServiceNow Governance Risk and Compliance and Provider Third Party Risk Management Council.
Dr. Council’s professional and research interests include Information Technology Governance, Information Security, and Internal Control. He earned his Doctorate at Nova Southeastern University in Information Systems writing his Doctoral Dissertation about the governance of information security. His research has been published in the Information Systems Audit and Control Journal, and the Community College Journal. He has also served as Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota, Carlton School of Management and Metro State University.
