I am passionate about mentoring and supporting individuals reach their ambitions. I am known for helping others stay on track and focused; and finishing a project or reaching a goal. This comes from 25 years of being a professor and helping all types of students focus their education to match career goals. Having started out in corporate accounting, I have continued to learn and apply financial concepts to small businesses. I taught marketing courses across my career and enjoy imagining how to connect people to product.

General guidance, business practices, operations, Print and IT expertise

Help aspiring entrepreneurs form and improve new business ideas. Work as part of a volunteer team to help a business with a specific project or challenge. Teach specific business topics or subject matter to a small group of clients.

My goal as a mentor is to help clients exploit profit opportunities, find solutions to problems, and identify and mitigate business risks. I've worked with both small and large companies across multiple industries (with the exception of health care!) over a 40 year banking career in the US and internationally. Much of my career was spent financing the energy industry "from the drill bit to the light socket". I am a CFA charterholder, currently advise a private wealth management firm's investment committee, and am a subject matter expert in structuring commercial bank financing.
