This is a workshop series taking place over the course of March through May 2023.

This workshop provides a high-level overview of the online spaces available for major sources of funding and nonprofit resources. Divided into three sections, the discussion addresses the following objectives: (1) the best grant databases and websites, (2) where to locate corporate sponsors, and (3) nonprofit resources that will help you further your mission.

Nonprofits generally need every possible dollar they can get to further their mission. Yet, the matter of “where” to find these dollars has eluded many nonprofit leaders, especially those who are new to the sector. This workshop was written to help small nonprofit leaders who have not reached their funding goals identify multiple sources for generated revenue to further their charitable mission. This workshop is intended for U.S. Nonprofit 501c3 Organizations; however, the content is very universal and can be applied to most public charities anywhere in the world.

Starting a nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charity is not a decision to be taken lightly. Public charities are subject to federal and state rules and regulations that are not imposed on “for-profit” small businesses, including how they will generate income. The purpose of this workshop is to help newly established and potential nonprofit founders gather information needed to make an informed decision on how to move their charitable missions forward.
