On Wednesday evening, April 19, 2023, five local start-up business owners made pitch presentations to a review panel to compete for awards. This marked the culmination of a program where women owned and/or minority owned start-up businesses in the Charleston region could apply for the chance to pitch their business. Each finalist had 20 minutes to pitch their business to the review panel. The review panel then conferred and ranked the finalists for their awards. The awards were announced by John Misner, a certified mentor with SCORE – Charleston.
