Betsy Palmer Post

Current City: Newtown, CT

My primary experience for the past 25 years has been with developing, marketing and producing small, medium and large training seminars and conferences, primarily targeted to manufacturing industries but also in the healthcare and service sectors.

As a conference planner I have experience negotiating hotel contracts with both small and large sleeping room night blocks as well as large scale meeting and catering requirements.  I have international meeting planning experience as well, planning training events in Asia, Central and South America, Australia and Europe.

I am currently employed working for a small consulting company so I understand marketing on a small budget.  I have much experience with direct mail marketing, email marketing, online advertising, content marketing and social media marketing.  I have a long time relationship with a major university and have built a very good relationship over the years building our brand at this academic establishment.

I have a longtime passion for decorative arts and am a longtime needleworker.  Anyone with a craft-oriented business idea could also benefit from this experience.

I recently purchased a children’s daycare center. The previous owner did not treat the staff well, and my top priority is to correct that situation. How do you suggest I accomplish that?
