Expert in writing business plans, and logistics. Very Knowledgeable in business systems. As a consultant, I have assisted members of corporate boards in their committee work, and provided input to management on corporate development, training and assessment and divisional restructuring projects. Also worked confidentially with an investment-banking firm in New York, scouting and evaluating small and medium size businesses for merger and acquisition considerations by their clientele.
From 1973 to 1976, CEO/Director of a small national public company disseminating marketing information to the traveling public. Streamlined the company's branch and HQ operations, and computerized accounting and administrative functions which resulted in reduced costs and improved efficiency by more than 30 per cent. I motivated national sales force of over 100 people, helped increase their productivity by providing sales leads, training, and incentives. Also introduced Research tools to improve overall profitability.
While a partner in a consulting firm, developed management contacts for projects involving corporate planning, logistics, and organizational development. Also helped clients customize their training programs for middle-level managers.
As senior systems analyst at Lever Brothers, New York, developed synthetic rates and evaluated optimality of corporate distribution networks. These efforts resulted in annual savings in excess of $1.0 million. Also participated in developing training programs for managers overseas.
Among other jobs, supervised analysis of corporate statistics and preparation of management reports at Columbia Records; analyzed clerical work for its conversion to computer operations, and forecast product needs at strategic locations for McGraw-Hill.
For the past forty years, I have taught business courses including entrepreneurship and management of start-ups, management, business policy & strategy etc. at U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, St. John's University, Rutgers University, Hofstra University, Baruch College, etc. With the support of department head at USMMA, raised more than $800,000 for e-classroom and computer labs for training students to participate in cyber defense competition sponsored by the NSA. I worked with New York metro area computer scientists and cyber security experts to train our midshipmen to bring championship trophy home in 2004. Presented papers at national and international conferences and published articles in professional journals.
