Met with hundreds of small businesses on many issues regarding how to obtain Air Force contracts, how to be more competitive in the federal marketplace and who to talk to to "open the door" to Air Force procurement opportunities. Established and negotiated small business goals with the Small Business Administration and worked closely with Major Command acquisition officials to make goals. Dollars spent on small business in the AF increased by 100% during my tenure from $5 billion to $10 billion.
