Bob has managed and led personnel from the tactical through strategic levels within the government and performed as an analyst through Program Manager and Division Director within industry. Assignments ranged from company command level to major staff support within combatant commands and has included support to Special Access Programs as a PM. Extensive capture and proposal management with contract wins in excess of $15B in contract values.  While supporting the military as an Army officer he served as an Infantryman, Aviator, and Logistician.

Thomas (Tom) Guy Cornwell, born May 17, 1955, is a life time St. Louis, Missouri resident, with 37 years experience in the worldwide defense market.  He is currently Adjunct Professor with George Herbert Walker School of Business and Technology, Webster University.  He is a retired Vice President / General Manager (VP/GM) of DRS Sustainment Systems, Inc., headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri.  DRS Sustainment Systems Inc. is one of the largest operating units within the DRS complement of companies.  Mr. Cornwell assumed the VP/GM duties in October 2008, in conjunction with the acquisition and reorganization of DRS Technologies by Italian defense contractor Finmeccanica. 

DRS Technologies is a leading supplier of integrated products, services and support to military forces, intelligence agencies and prime contractors worldwide. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Finmeccanica S.p.A., employing more than 70,000 people worldwide.

From October 2006, Mr. Cornwell was President of the DRS Sustainment Systems Business Segment, after serving for six months as Vice President / General Manager of the DRS Sustainment Systems small business unit, formerly part of the Sustainment Systems and Services Group.  Before that, Mr. Cornwell served for five years as President and Chief Executive Officer of Engineered Air Systems, Inc. (EASI), a subsidiary of Engineered Support Systems, Inc. (ESSI), before DRS acquired that company on January 31, 2006.

Prior to becoming President and CEO of EASI in 2000, Mr. Cornwell served in various general management positions of increasing responsibility at Systems & Electronics, Inc., another ESSI subsidiary, for 24 years. He began with the company as a purchasing agent in 1974.
