In my professional practice I provide financial management support, business development assistance, and marketing expertise to banks, businesses, universities, municipalities, government agencies, and service organizations.
In addition to my professional activities, I’m also a business faculty member at Arkansas State University-Newport where I instruct human resources, entrepreneurship, and economics courses. I hold a deep sense of community and have served both public and private organizations in roles such as vice chairman of finance for the Little Rock Zoo Commission, founding president of the Maumelle, Arkansas Chamber of Commerce and the boards of the Downtown Little Rock Partnership, the Little Rock Southside Main Street Project, and the Wade Knox Children's Advocacy Center. I’ve also served on key committees of several Arkansas economic development organizations.

Earl Orr is involved with developing business plans and evaluating business plans for financing opportunities. Included in his work history are international business evaluations to assist in acquisition decisions, profitability assessments and financial statement analysis.
Earl spent 20 years with a commercial lending bank involved with all phases of loan operations and established the bank’s first loan review department. Currently serves as president of Orchid Financial LLC, a financial services company that evaluates loan requests for a nationwide commercial lender.

Was an electrical engineer. Prior to retirement, he spent 20+ years as vice president of a small two-division company engaged in the design and manufacture of high-powered microwave equipment for the U.S. Department of Defense and others. Prior to this assignment, Hap was employed as VP of operations and director of quality control and reliability for several employers who produced electronic systems and components. In between these two jobs, he formed and operated his own management consulting business. Hap has been with SCORE for fifteen years and has been highly successful in counseling new startups, mentoring existing businesses, helping clients to export and in his quest for obtaining financing for Chapter clients, especially in the areas of business purchases and expansions. He also conducts a seminar on how to successfully secure a business loan.
Professional Business Experience: I have in excess of 25 years of senior management experience in businesses from start-up to working with other businesses who are experiencing operating and financial distress. My diverse business background includes consulting and training, commercial loan underwriting, coal mining operations, oil & gas exploration, retail convenient stores with quick service restaurants, and a FAA Part 145 aircraft repair station.
