Broward SCORE Volunteers are judges in DECA High school District Competition

Broward SCORE Volunteers today participated as judges at the DECA High School District Competition, a one-day competition, which included events related to entrepreneurship, marketing and sales. As part of the competition, students presented their business plans, and gave marketing and sales presentations. Besides SCORE Volunteers, the event’s judges included staff and faculty members from the Huizenga Business School, as well as Entrepreneurship Council Members. Over 250 students from 18 schools participated.

Washington, D.C. - SCORE, mentors to America’s small businesses, is proud to announce the election of Gerard (Jerry) Glenn of Lancaster, PA, as its new Board Chair. Hal Shelton, SCORE mentor in Washington DC and former Board Treasurer, has also been elected as Vice Chair. Both Glenn and Shelton are current board members.

Washington, D.C. - SCORE, mentors to America’s small businesses, is excited to announce a partnership with the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA). With the common understanding of small business being a powerful economic engine, SCORE and the NFLPA have joined together to nurture the entrepreneurial aspirations of former and current NFL players.  Upon their departure from the NFL, many players seek new forms of income, and small business ownership can be an exciting and valuable challenge.
