Began my business career in Home Repair/Construction, followed by being an Auto Shop Owner-operator prior to and during college.  After graduation I worked for 35 years in the Petroleum Oil Industry including Refining, Logistics & Distribution, Business Development & major asset acquisitions, and Commercial for Independent and Major Oil Companies.  My work experience and expertise included developing, managing and continuously improving the operating and financial performances of small-to-large Refining facilities, associated Logistics-Supply Chains, and Commercial operations.  I held many management positions including: VP of Refining, Refinery Manager (of 3 individual Refineries), Engineering Manager, and Manager for many other Operating Services Departments.  Engineering-technical experience included analyzing manufacturing-production facilities’ performances, and innovating, designing & constructing improvement-expansion projects; including upgrading staff/labor operating practices.  In addition I improved-optimized many Facilities’ production, minimized expenses/costs, and increased overall Facility’s revenues and maximize profit margins.  Each Refinery I Managed was operated as an independent business unit.  Management responsibilities included: Operations, Maintenance, Administration, Regulatory compliance (safety & environmental), Inventory management, Transportation (truck, rail & marine), Logistics (supply chains/inventory management), Utilities (power, fuels & water), and many other on-site support groups (Control Labs, Training, Fire/Security, Safety/Environmental, Warehousing, Public Relations, and Maintenance shops & offices/buildings).

Retired from Corporate life and became a Clean Energy Professional Analyst and Consultant.  In recent years, began Consulting with different small IT business startups and most recently joined the SCORE team and became a Certified Mentor to support Small Businesses and developing/new Entrepreneurs.
