John has built seven businesses ranging from software training to software development and entrepreneurial coaching. John's day job is working with Westat, an employee owned firm specializing in social science research, statistical analysis, and evidence-based communications. John is the principal author of "Application of Results Only Work Environment (ROWE) to Professional Service Firms", JABE. He is currently earning a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and plans to focus on the specialized situation of small to mid sized businesses.

John is a volunteer in the SBA SCORE program and mentors small businesses with a specialization in the psychology of small business ownership. He is also an accomplished speaker celebrating twenty years of experience through Toastmasters International and other venues.
