Dick Mautz earned a B.S. in B.A. degree in Industrial Management from Youngstown State University and is a U.S. Army veteran. He brings to SCORE 35 years working in manufacturing, specifically for Timken, a leading global maker of precision bearings and specialty steels. Dick’s responsibilities spanned industrial engineering (1 year), manufacturing production management (11 years), corporate quality advancement (15 years) and market segment and plant quality advancement and control (9 years). During those years he gained expertise in internal communications, customer complaint resolution, quality system documentation and auditing, manufacturing and staff problem solving, project plan development, and identifying and organizing resources needed for project completion. Dick also has developed expertise in organizing and operating a 501-c-3 non-profit enterprise as he is a co-founder of the annual Canton Carnival of Wheels that was launched in 2008. Its purpose is to plan and organize car shows for the benefit of local charities. The event has the support of numerous sponsors, attracts hundreds of cars and thousands of spectators. The shows feature street rods, hot rods, customs, classics, race cars, tractors, trucks, motorcycles and other wheeled vehicles. Dick joined SCORE in 2010.
