Having been born and raised in a middle-class family in India, I did pretty much everything that was expected of a
middle-class child – good education, a well-paying job, and marriage.
Previously, I was working in a law firm and my duties included planning travel, conferences, continuing education, corporate
wellness, events, and administration in the office.
Our mission is to create a warm, inviting environment where makers can feel at home, learn new skills, and find the tools
they need to make quilts and other sewn items.
Thomas Pickles' company, Shirt Pickle, allows customers to create unique, high-quality T-shirts featuring their own text,
images and art. Pickles worked with SCORE mentor Frank Uhlman on securing funding.
Janie’s Emporium carries carefully curated products including teas, jewelry, and home accents from places around the world
such as India, Thailand, and Indonesia. SCORE helped Taggart-Powell emphasize her store’s sensory experience so customers are
delighted as they move throughout the space.
716 Home Inspections provides full evaluations of the structural and mechanical components of clients’ homes. Paolini
attended the Starting and Managing Your Own Business workshop, where he learned more about the mentorship opportunities SCORE
offers.
