The City of Miramar Economic Development and Housing Department, through its Miramar Business Academy (MBA), presents its 2025 program—designed to help individuals and entrepreneurs seize business opportunities, build thriving enterprises, and create lasting wealth.

This year’s focus? Helping entrepreneurs and small business owners successfully prepare for grant and loan applications from municipalities, CDFIs, foundations, corporate sponsors, and traditional financial institutions.

The Miramar Business Academy (MBA), in partnership with SCORE Broward, features:
✅ 10 interactive webinars (held twice a week on Monday and Thursday evenings weekly)
✅ 2 optional in-person sessions
✅ Hands-on business planning guidance

In just 7 weeks, you'll develop a complete business plan—step by step. Upon completion, submit your plan and receive an MBA Certificate of Completion.

Whether you're launching a new business or scaling an existing one, this program will equip you with the mindset, tools, and strategies needed for success.

Graduates who own, or plan to open a business in Miramar can apply for a small business grant of up to $10,000 with a completed business plan. Grant applicants will receive training in making a Pitch.  Finalists will be invited to pitch their business ideas at a special event!

With Miramar’s commitment to the community, this entire program is FREE. Plus, both residents and non-residents will receive valuable insights on additional funding sources they can apply for.
