InShape Incentive, Alisa Primavera
Alisa Primavera founded InShape Incentive in 2018, inspired by a passion for holistic health. Her mission was to help people achieve wellness through nutrition, physical fitness and a strong mind-body connection. While Alisa had a clear vision for her business, she quickly realized that running a business required skills and knowledge she didn’t yet have. Seeking guidance, she turned to SCORE and connected with mentor Prabhat Kumar (PK).
“When I started, I didn’t know much about business,” Alisa shared. “I felt like it was really good to have somebody who’s been through the ropes and could help me.”
Kumar worked closely with Alisa to address the challenges of starting a business with limited resources. From advising on tax claims to identifying her target clientele, PK provided practical strategies and a wealth of knowledge. “PK knows me, he knows my business and he knows a lot of the challenges I’m going to face,” Alisa said.
